ROB SURGICAL, SELECTED TO BE PART OF THE PASS PROGRAM AND INTRODUCE CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATIONS IN THE HEALTH SYSTEM

Rob Surgical Team

The Program for Innovation Access to the Health System of Catalonia, known as PASS, is part of a European-level program introducing pioneering innovations into the health system. The plan has been developed by the Catalan Health Service, the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS), and Biocat to implement new systems in Catalonia, one of the world’s largest biosanitary hubs, with leading scientific production and a vast ecosystem of startups.

Rob Surgical is one of the four companies selected to participate in the PASS program, alongside ABLE Human Motion, Doctomatic, and Goodgut. The aim is for the Bitrack surgical robot to be integrated into the Catalan health system, offering high-precision surgeries throughout the territory.

Being part of this ambitious project positions us as one of the most outstanding companies in medical technology and allows us to advance our goal of universalizing precision surgery.

The robot has been designed from the start for this purpose: transportable to enable movements between hospitals, quick to configure to save time and perform more than one operation a day in different locations, and compatible with standard operating room instruments.

Jaume Amat, CEO of Rob Surgical, highlights the power of the initiative and its capacity for universalization: “We are very excited to have been selected and to be part of the first phase of the PASS program. Catalonia is one of the largest biosanitary hubs and is an excellent scenario to inspire other territories around the world and demonstrate our platform’s capacity to universalize precision surgery worldwide.”

The PASS program and the inclusion of Rob Surgical’s surgical robot in the health system is an extraordinary example to show how this model can be applied to other regions of the world, bringing precision surgery closer to all citizens and benefiting patients, surgeons, and hospitals.
