The Barcelona tech sector is booming. SeedTable, a weekly newsletter for staying up to date with Europe?s tech scenes, has published the 2020 list of the 107 best startups. Over 15% of the companies in the ranking are from the healthcare arena, including Rob Surgical, Anaconda Biomed, Ability Pharmaceuticals, B-wom, Mediktor, Minoryx Therapeutics, Senolytic Therapeutics and STAT-Dx (currently Qiagen).
To create this ranking, SeedTable assessed the project innovation and pace of growth of each company. In the case of Rob Surgical the two main factors considered were Bitrack, the first open robotic system designed to improve the efficiency of minimally invasive surgery, and the fact that in 2019 it raised over €5 million from Scranton Enterprises.
