2008-2011: Research phase with UPC, IBEC and Mayo Clinic experts.
2012: Rob Surgical spin-off is created in Barcelona with the aim of achieving this leading research in hospitals and patients.
2012-2018: Our engineering team develops the functional prototype of the Bitrack system.
2014: We perform the first surgery with animal models.
2018: Bitrack has successfully completed its pre-design unit technical validation.
2020: ISO 13485 Certification.
Main challenges
We have proposed to universalize high-precision surgery with a new efficiency approach where precision and safety are a must and that allows for a wider range of surgical procedures and reach an unbeatable balance between added value and cost.
Technology & Patents
Owners of IP mechanical, electronic and Software solutions (26 Patents Issued).
Specific robotic architectures according to functional needs.
Fully designed and developed in-house gives us unprecedented flexibility to further new developments.
ROB SURGICAL started to work under Quality Management System following the ISO 13485 during the Design Phase. First Certification was achieved in 2020 and we maintain an annual relationship with BSI. Our design strategy has been checked with them during the audits.
