Bitrack System, Rob Surgical’s surgical robot, aims to universalize precision surgery, improving its efficiency and facilitating access to robotic surgery in all types of centers. To do this, all its components and functionalities have been carefully studied to offer maximum precision, performance, safety and usability with cost savings and efficient time.
One of the solutions to reduce direct and indirect costs are single-use instruments. The Bitrack robot is equipped with seven degrees of freedom instruments that maximize the skill set of surgeons and avoid cleaning and logistics costs.
The single-use laparoscopic instruments are patented and offer 7 degrees of freedom at the instrument tip: 3 degrees for position in space, 3 degrees for orientation, and 1 degree for opening and closing the end effector.
These instruments, with a diameter of 8 mm, have sub-millimeter precision and make the surgeon’s job easier, but also the hospital. The instruments are discarded once the operation is finished, eliminating the cleaning processes and the logistics involved. In this way, the instruments are always ready to offer maximum performance with total safety for the patient.
Added to these advantages is the quick and easy docking and effortless switching between robotic and manual procedures, known as hybrid surgery or On-Demand surgery. Single-use robotic instruments are compatible with conventional trocars, streamlining the surgeon’s work and preoperative tasks.
The Bitrack robot is designed to be safe, versatile, simple, intuitive and fast. It has been tested in more than 100 pre-clinical surgical procedures and has already successfully performed the first interventions on living patients.
